Position Title:  Validation Staff Accountant                                   FLSA:  Salary Exempt

Reports to:  Validation Operations Manager                                Date:  9/22  

Functional Scope: Performs a range of general accounting functions in support of the Finance Department


Position Specifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 2 year accounting and/or financial analysis experience.  Must have proficient use of financial systems and analysis tools including Microsoft Office.  Experience in Oracle 12i a plus. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines. Excellent analytical/problem solving skills.  Team player that can collaborate cross-functionally. Work with a high degree of attention to detail.

Essential Functions: 

  • Regular attendance
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position, with or without accommodations
  • Drive Analysis of Financials and reporting to Business Controller Kaye
  • Assure correctness of Accounting in regards of balance and P&L accounts, cost centers, IC revenues
  • Monitoring of SG&A and burden purchases and assure correctness of bookings; if necessary process reclasses
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of Kaye financials within Amphenol Thermometrics Inc in Amphenol reporting tools
  • Monitoring of CAPEX spends, fixed assets accounts incl. depreciation and rental fleet for Kaye division of Amphenol Thermometrics Inc.
  • Analyzing of inventory balances, calculation of E&O provision
  • Run AR Management - monitoring past due AR items, run dunning process, monitoring of prepayment of customers, charging customer's credit cards for payment purposes, review and approve customer's credit limits + payment terms
  • Support analysis and updates of Standard Costs revision for Kaye inventory within Amphenol Thermometrics Inc.
  • Analyzing inventory variances (e.g. Purchase Price Variances, Material Usage Variances, Labor Variances) and drive necessary actions
  • Assure and maintain past due AP balances and drive necessary actions
  • Analyzing, maintaining and oversee accrual accounts and ensure correctness of accruals
  • Monitoring CAPEX spends, CAPEX approvals, Construction in progress account, rental and demo assets
  • Run reconciliations between sub-ledgers, back-up documentation and other information with general ledger for all Kaye relating balance sheet and P&L accounts within Amphenol Thermometrics Inc.
  • Support of semi-annual self-audit processes (called Amphenol Hard Close Review) for Kaye related financial processes
  • Identify and run improvements in processes, quality and speed of accounting
  • Report on demand requests by Business Controller Kaye
  • Work close with other departments (e.g. Operations, Sales, R&D, HR, etc.)
  • Posting of g/l bookings in Oracle 12i
